    Celebrate the work God has done though the work of His people in Haiti in the 12 months that have passed since an earthquake devastated Port-au-Prince and the surrounding area.

    1,800 – Southern Baptist volunteers that have traveled to Haiti
    32,470 – Patients they treated
    261 – Home and church sites cleared of debris
    25,377 – Times they shared the gospel
    2009 – Professions of faith they witnessed
    300,000 – Individuals who died from the earthquake and aftermath
    165,000 – Professions of faith recorded by Haitian Baptist Pastors
    272 – New churches started since the earthquake
    155,000 – Buckets of Hope prepared and shipped to Haiti
    150,000 – Buckets of Hope distributed as of January 11, 2011
    6,200 – New homes Rebuild Haiti plans to build
    $2,500 – The cost of one new home
    59 – New block homes completed as of January 11, 2011

    Rebuild Haiti

    As we look back on the 12 months of work in Haiti the rebuild efforts are now in full swing. Rebuild Haiti is a commitment to build 6,00 concrete block homes and 186 churches. Sponsored by the Florida Baptist Convention, Baptist Global Response, The International Mission Board and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief the Rebuild Haiti Project plans include hiring and training Haitians to build the homes.
