Don McDaniel (CHAPLAIN-MILITARY)
Soldier George Curtis was called home from Bosnia. His 10-year-old son, Dimone, was dying. "The doctors were skeptical about his life," said military chaplain Don McDaniel. "It was a touch-and-go, day-by-day situation." The boy’s mother, Ethel, had to go on family leave and they were desperate for food.
