Our nation is searching for solutions to unprecedented challenges. At the same time, our communities are experiencing unimaginable spiritual decline. In the midst of these challenges, God wants to revive His people so that He can redeem a lost world through them.
That’s the foundation of Fresh Encounter 2009, a two-day revival and spiritual awakening conference coming to San Diego on May 15-16.
“A spiritual awakening in our nation waits upon the repentance and revival of God’s people,” said Thomas Bush, Prayer Ministry Director for the San Diego Southern Baptist Association and Vision San Diego. “At Fresh Encounter 2009, we want to start to answer these questions: What are God’s prerequisites for revival and spiritual awakening? What kind of change does God want? And where does a nation turn in the midst of crisis?”
Henry Blackaby, founder and president emeritus of Blackaby Ministries International, provides consultative leadership worldwide in the life of the Christian community. He has published many spiritually influential works, including the classic Experiencing God. Today, Dr. Blackaby sends an urgent call for revival in America and Christian leadership focused on God-centered integrity. His son Richard serves as the president of Blackaby Ministries International and speaks internationally on Christian life and spiritual leadership.
Many have been deeply impacted by the ministry of the Blackaby family. This is a rare and timely opportunity to be inspired again, and to inspire the next generation of God’s leaders. Along with the Blackaby’s, several San Diego pastors and leaders will lead sessions during the event, which ends with a time of corporate prayer for revival.
If you live in the San Diego area, or will be visiting on May 15-16, plan to join us as we experience a “deep touch from God” in the midst of His people. For more information, or to sign up, go to www.visionsandiego.com/freshencounter. If you are a prayer partner, please pray for these days. Pray that God will move mightily. Pray that we will be open to the Holy Spirit and have obedient determination to do as He says.
