How to Pray for 5 of San Diego’s Biggest Needs
|

|
25,000 intercessors are praying for God’s work in San Diego, asking him to work through individuals and local churches to bring about the transformation of an entire city. This year, their prayers are focusing on Faith in Action Xtreme, an effort to meet some of San Diego’s biggest needs, identified by government officials and leaders. We invite you to pray with us for these requests:
• Elder Care | Pray that San Diego seniors will be open to churches that want to minister to them, and that God will continue to open doors to make contact with those individuals.
• Tutoring | Pray for a fruitful tutoring connection with the San Diego City Schools tutoring program, and that volunteers will continue to commit time each week to read with elementary school students.
• Military | Praise God for the invitation to help with Vacation Bible Schools on Camp Pendleton this summer! This is an answer to prayer for additional opportunities to minister to military families.
• Mentoring | There are hundreds of San Diego agencies engaged in mentoring. Pray that God would give wisdom to the Faith in Action Xtreme leadership team about how to pursue partnerships with them.
• Foster Care | Pray for the FIA Xtreme initiative as it seeks to make an impact on the lives of the children and house parents in the foster care system. Pray specifically that God will open up doors and opportunities for volunteers from San Diego and around the country to engage in this area of impact.
