According To A Rasmussen Report, 83% of Americans Will Celebrate Christmas

- According to a new Rasmussen Reports survey, fewer people plan on decorating their homes for the holidays this year.
- Most Americans (67%) say they intend to decorate, that is down from 78% in last year’s poll.
- Twenty-four percent (24%) do not plan on decorating.
- Sixty-one percent (61%) plan on attending a religious service this holiday, while 31% do not.
- A larger percentage of Republicans (74%) than Democrats (54%) say they will go to a service this year.
- Fewer people are also choosing to be apart of this season’s travel rush, with 70% opting to stay home and a quarter (25%) choosing to travel.
- Last year, 34% said they planned on traveling for the holidays while 60% chose not to.
- Most people do not plan on partaking in any Christmas caroling this year.
- Only 13% will lift their voices in song while 79% will not.
- Slightly more men (16%) than women (10%) said they would be caroling this year.
