Prayer Connection - February 17, 2009
Dear Beloved Intercessor,
Circumstances may seem to be getting worse, but God is using future uncertainty to draw people to a saving relationship with Him. For those looking for answers, there’s no better place to point them than to Jesus Himself.
The mayor of San Diego, Jerry Sanders, recently told pastors and leaders that now, more than ever, churches have an opportunity to join civic leaders to ensure a healthy city. This is a transferrable principle to any city across North America. See the story of what God is doing through mobilized Christians in San Diego; and ask God what He might want you and your church to do in your community.
“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me’” (Matt. 25:40, NASB).
Thank you for praying and for being on the NAMB prayer team.
For God's Glory,
Elaine Helms

Weekly Prayer Focus for February 18: Sin Of Restrained Prayer
“The presence of sin makes the presence of God impossible . . . The solemn fact is . . . to not pray as Christ and the scripture teach us is definitely one that causes the loss of God’s presence.” – Andrew Murray
Scripture
“Thou . . . restrainest prayer before God” (Job 15:4, KJV).
Prayer
Father, forgive us for not being a praying people. Cleanse, revive, and make us a people who bring You glory by filling us with the Spirit of grace and supplication. In Jesus’ name, amen.
