Prayer Connection - April 28, 2009
Dear Beloved Intercessor,
I look forward to the annual Southern Baptist Convention meeting. It will be in Louisville, Kentucky on June 23-24, and I hope you are planning to attend. Even if you are not physically there, please pray for those who gather. What a great opportunity to renew old acquaintances, be ministered to with great preaching, and impact that community with the love of Jesus. Pray most of all that God will be glorified and that there will be a sweet spirit of love and compassion for one another and the lost we encounter.
Please read the invitation from SBC President Johnny Hunt. Pray for him as he seeks to be in the center of God’s will, and leads us to work together to complete the Great Commission.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds” (Heb. 10:23-24, NASB).
Thank you for praying and for being on the NAMB prayer team.
For God's glory,
Elaine Helms

Father, for the glory of Your name, open our eyes to see and our ears to hear that we may return to You and be healed. In Jesus' name, amen.

RELAY
Thank you for praying for Jimmy Kinnaird and the RELAY project. It has gone to design! Pray now for skill and wisdom for the designers, that no components get lost in the production, and for this resource to be used by God to inspire believers to intentional relational evangelism.
Church Planting – Ask God to continue to provide for Nehemiah church planters in this economy. Pray Luke 10:2 for the Lord of the harvest to call workers into rural regions, resulting in a church planting movement across our continent. Pray also for God’s direction and call of new staff for the Resource Development and Delivery Team at NAMB.
Please pray for this need to be met:

Please pray for local churches in San Diego as they reach out to their communities to assist seniors, military residents, and youth (through tutoring, mentoring, and foster care ministry) for 6 months during Faith in Action Xtreme, beginning Easter 2009. Pray for that God would provide strong and fruitful partnerships with local agencies and national partners and that many would be served in Jesus’ name and come to know the Savior.

Praises -
The Lord blessed the use of the Evangelism Response Center in the “Across North America” 2009 Pilot. Using the theme, “Find It Here,” people in five pilot areas were invited to Christ through a targeted media campaign of both “air” (i.e. commercials, radio, etc.) and “land” (i.e. gospel literature distribution, bill boards, etc.). Tagged to it all was an invitation to go to www.FinditHere.com, or call 1-888-Jesus2009. Each tool gave a person an opportunity to respond to Jesus. As of April 14 there had been 240 calls to ERC because of the pilots. Decisions were also made at the churches.
