New Life in Los Angeles Neighborhoods
On Saturday afternoon we were "working" a park. I met an older man named Frank sitting under a tree. As we began to talk Frank showed me some magic tricks (turning one coin into two, making candy appear by rubbing his hands together). We had a good time just talking with him, and then I ask him if he knew if he was going to heaven. Frank said that he “Hoped” he would. He told he about being raised Catholic and being an altar boy. I then said “Frank you showed me your magic can I show you this cube (the Evangecube) and tell you the story”. I shared the Gospel with the cube and gave the invitation to accept Christ. Frank began to cry and said, “that’s why Jesus had to die, for my sins?” I explained that yes, the reason Jesus died was to pay for our sins. Frank then prayed and asked Jesus to come into his heart.
