God Shows Up at CVS in Indianapolis
by Lynn Webb
Our ICE team was on the way back to the motel and needed to stop at CVS Pharmacy to get a few things.
While in the parking lot myself and fellow team member, Wally Babb observed a van back into another car in the parking lot and then leave the scene of the accident.
Being a former police officer I quickly called out the tag, vehicle and driver description. Wally wrote the information on the back of a gospel tract as I called it out to him. I then went back inside the store to let the clerk know that someone’s car had been hit.
There was a line of people and as I told everyone what kind of car had been hit - it turned out the car belonged to the clerk that I was reporting this to.
You could tell right away her response was “what else could go wrong today” so we walked out to the car and I gave her the gospel tract with the information on it. As it turned out the car damage was minimal and I told her that God was looking out for her. I then ask her, “do you go to church anywhere?”
She stated that she did occasionally. I then said the more important question I have for you is if you were to die this day do you know if you would go to heaven?
She stated she would not. She confessed that she had a lot of sin in her life and that she felt that she would have to make that right first.
I explained to her that God works from the inside out and that He has to have her heart first. I proceeded to share the plan of salvation with her and right there in the store parking lot she prayed to receive Jesus in her heart as Savior and Lord. She was so happy that her first response was to hug me and thank me. It was certainly a divine appointment and moment that I will never forget.
