Title: Dollywood and Music Theaters Chaplain
Theme Parks/Special Attractions Ministry Supervisor

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION
The Dollywood and Music Theaters Chaplain and Theme Parks/Special Attraction Supervisor is responsible to the Sevier County Association of Baptists [SCAB], the Tennessee Baptist Convention [TBC], and the North American Mission Board [NAMB] for working under the leadership of the Directors of Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries [SMRM] in planning, conducting, and evaluating programs of resort missions for those people who live, work and play in the resort industries of Sevier County. Primary responsibility will be resort missions programs in the theme parks and special attractions of Sevier County with a focus on Dollywood and music theaters around the county.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Shall match those qualifications of Dollywood employment.
2. Hold a degree from an accredited college or university and/or a Baptist seminary, preferably with training in chaplaincy.
3. Shall be a member in good standing of a Southern Baptist Church.
4. Have a Christian testimony as to conversion and call.
5. Hold a commitment to local and worldwide missions.
6. Be familiar with the phases of the SBC and TBC programs.
7. Have a commitment to the statement of the Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the SBC.
8. Be an individual of good report as to personal conduct in his/her home, business, and church.

RELATIONSHIPS
1. The Chaplain/Supervisor is to be endorsed by the NAMB to work through the TBC in and with the SCAB for SMRM.
2. The Chaplain/Supervisor will work in cooperation with the Directors of SMRM. The Directors of SMRM are to be his/her direct supervisor.
3. The Chaplain/Supervisor shall be responsible to SMRM, the SCAB, the TBC, and the NAMB for all his/her actions.
4. A monthly report shall be filed with Dollywood, SMRM, the SCAB, the TBC, and the NAMB.
5. Regular or called meetings shall be held with the Directors of SMRM.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating resort missions in the resort community related to SMRM.
2. Assist the Directors of SMRM in ministries at the Theme Parks/Special Attractions of Sevier County. Ministries there will include:

a. Serve as Chaplain at Dollywood (see accompanying proposal).
b. Develop ministry in and serve as Chaplain to the Music Theaters of Sevier County. Enlist and supervise others in relating to Music Theater complexes.
c. Supervision of ministry programs at other Theme Parks/Special Attractions related to SMRM.
d. Development of ministry programs at other theme parks/special attractions in Sevier County.

3. Serve as a resort ministries resource person and advisor to the churches and organizations of the SCAB, the TBC, and the SBC as requested.
4. Explore and develop with the Directors of SMRM new approaches to resort missions in Sevier County.
