God at Work: Sending Georgians to Pennsylvania to Share the Gospel with a Californian
Midway Baptist Church of Haralson County, GA went on a mission trip to Columbia, PA. The name of the church there is Oswego Baptist church. We had 22 people who went to help put on vacation bible school for one week. We had a great time teaching the kids that Jesus loves them and cares about them. We taught them crafts and music. There were so many different people there from different nationalities and languages. There were 2 Egyptian ladies there, one could not speak English, but she was eager to learn about the love of Jesus through an interpreter. We had a great time there. We also went site seeing in Philadelphia, seeing the liberty bell. We had devotions every night after VBS, at the hotel in Lancaster, PA. One night we went out to sit in the chairs and there was a gentlemen sitting at the table. We told him that we were having devotions and asked his name and asked him where he was from. He was from CA and he was traveling. We all got together and had our devotions, minding that this man could have gotten up and left, but he stayed and listened. After our devotion, our pastor, went over and talk to him about Jesus, He accepted the Lord right there that night. Jesus was working through us, a little church from GA in PA to bring this man to Christ. We sowed the seed, we pray that he will go back to CA and tell everyone there. Our pastor gave him, his bible. We were real excited about this. This has been a great growing experience for our youth and it was a great experience for everyone that went on the mission trip.
