Associational Initiatives Team

The Associational Initiatives Team exists to create environments in which directors of missions and potential directors of missions can experience learning, growing, and empowerment spiritually, professionally, and personally to resource churches to make a kingdom impact in their context and culture.

The Five Basic Initiatives

  1. Identify, enlist, and equip potential directors of missions. Expose directors of missions and potential directors of mission to learning environments that lead them to determine that an effective and relevant association can and must be in its context and culture.
  2. Identify, enlist, equip, and utilize effective associations as "learning laboratories." The learning laboratories will provide an on-site, customized learning experience for director of missions that enhances a specific area of work in the life of the Association (church planting, resourcing, leadership development, for example).
  3. Identify, enlist, and utilize effective directors of missions as coaches/mentors. Make effective directors of missions available as coaches/mentors to directors of missions and associational staff who desire to be strengthened spiritually, personally, and professionally through strategy development, skill development, time management, and other learning processes.
  4. Work with associations in current and potential future Strategic Focus Cities to help them prepare to successfully design and implement a sustainable strategy that expands and extends the kingdom.
  5. Work with state and associational leaders to provide regional learning gatherings of directors of missions and potential directors of missions utilizing practitioners in the field that encourage peer learning, networking, and building of synergy.
