Pregnancy Care Center Affiliation Packet

The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention. Our defined mission is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, start New Testament congregations, minister to persons in the name of Christ, and assist churches in the United States, Canada and U.S. territories in effectively performing these functions.

Specifically, we do this by focusing on six major objectives that also form the basis for how the NAMB web site (www.namb.net) is structured: sharing Christ, starting churches, volunteering in missions, sending missionaries, impacting the culture and equipping leaders. The end goal is reflected in our vision statement:

 "We see a day when every person in every community in the United States and Canada will have the opportunity to hear the gospel, respond with faith in Christ, and participate in a New Testament fellowship of believers."

These centers are autonomous and relate to Pregnancy Care Ministries in much the same way that Southern Baptist churches relate to the Southern Baptist Convention.>

What can a Cooperating PCC expect from Pregnancy Care Ministries?

• Guidance on how to establish a Pregnancy Care Center
• 18 hours of volunteer training, at our expense, for newly established PCC's
• Free Bibles for use with clients (The monthly statistic form must be submitted to the Pregnancy Care Ministries office each month in order to qualify your center to receive free materials.)
• Access to consultants who care about you and your ministry via a toll-free telephone line
• Problem-solving on an individual basis
• Hunger funds through state Baptist conventions.
• Opportunity to become a Mission Service Corps missionary
• Trainings after opening are available for expenses plus love offering
• Monthly eNewsletter

What does the North American Mission Board expect from a Cooperating PCC?

• To meet NAMB's criteria for opening a new center
• A copy of your center's purpose statement and policies
• To be added to your mailing list and receive your newsletter
• Monthly statistics (due the 15th of each month for the month just ended)
• Annual statistics (due the first week of January)
