Medical/Dental Ministries
More than 37 million people in the United States have limited access to health care because they cannot pay for it. In more than 130 locations Southern Baptist churches, associations, mission centers, and state conventions have begun medical/dental ministries. Most of these are church based medical/dental clinics; however, mobile clinics, health fairs, and ministries to those with HIV/AIDS are represented as well.
All of these ministries exist to care for people as Jesus did - in spoken word and healing action. In working with one of these ministries, or starting your own, you can learn to share Jesus, the Great Physician, with others through health care.
