Student Mission Groups
What is Student Mission Groups?
Student Mission Groups is a ministry of the North American Mission Board designed to assist group leaders, youth and college students in planning mission trips for their groups. Areas of ministry can include campground day camps, Backyard Bible Clubs, sports clinics, Vacation Bible Schools, and construction. Each group communicates to us what kind of mission trip they want to plan and we connect them with the people who need them. Groups are responsible for the cost of the trip.
Why Should I Do This? (What’s in it for me, a youth group leader?)
If you are looking to plan your own mission trip, consider using the Student Mission Group resources available to you.
The benefits for you as the leader are countless. We provide you with the necessary forms you need for an experience of this magnitude, such as student permission and medical release forms. You can also look at several sample schedules for the week to plan your mission trip accordingly. For any students who do not have medical insurance for the mission trip, we can point you in a good direction.
The free resources we have available for you do not stop there! Use our student devotions for your mission trip. Cut and paste them just as they are, or adapt them to fit your need. If this is the first mission trip you have ever planned, be sure to check out our all encompassing logistical manual, which covers every detail you will need to take care of to ensure a quality missions experience for your group.
