I want to use the automatic email function, but I do not know what the outgoing mail server information is for my internet service provider. What can I do?
Remember, that if you have AOL as your internet service provider, the automatic email function will not work. Listed below are a few of the popular internet service provider’s SMTP information. Under “Options” in Plan-it, go to “Email Settings.” You must enter the correct SMTP information for your internet service provide in the space provided, along with the other required information.
Bellsouth: mail.bellsouth.net
Comcast: smtp.comcast.net
AT&T: mailhost.worldnet.att.net
Adelphia: mail.adelphia.net
Netzero: smtp.netzero.net
If your internet service provider is not listed above, connect to the internet and launch your email program from your provider’s homepage. Look for the email settings selection. Typically, you can find your provider’s SMTP information there. Do not use the POP3 information.
Whenever I select the “Save & Send Email” in the Edit Task or Edit Event windows, I get an error message. What is wrong?
If you get an error message when this button is selected, you are not connected to the internet and the automatic email function is enabled. Go under “Options” to “Email Settings.” Then, unselect the “Enable Email” box. The error message will not be generated.
Whenever I select the “Save & Send Email” in the Edit Task or Edit Event windows, no email is generated.
You must be simultaneously connected to the internet and have the correct information from your internet service provider in the “Email Settings” under “Options.” Additionally, the “Enable Email” box must be checked. If AOL is your internet service provider, this feature will not work. If you select “Save & Send Email” while not connected to the internet, it will not send the automatic email later when you connect to the internet as there is no “outbox” process.
Whenever I select a button with a bold blue font in it, nothing happens or it launches my Internet Explorer indicating that the “page cannot be found.” What is wrong?
You must be simultaneously connected to the internet to access the site you have selected. Every button that has the bold blue font in it is a website link. In order to access the information from those buttons, you must be on the internet at the same time.

Why does the Plan-it software load the .NET platform on my computer?
The Plan-it software was developed using the .NET platform. We selected this platform due to it's wide usage and the opportunities it gives us for future development. If you have any questions regarding the installation of the .NET platform, you can contact technical support through this site or contact Microsoft's .NET help site at http://support.microsoft.com/ph/2965.
When I try to install the Plan-it software I get an error message that I cannot understand (i.e. - process id=0x0504 (1284) Thread id-0x470 (1136) debug cordbg.exe la 0x504). What should I do?
Most likely these kinds of errors are due to an error in installing the .NET framework. We suggest that you install the .NET framework first and then try to re-install the Plan-it software. If you feel uncomfortable installing this software or have limited technical experience you may want to solicit the advise and assistance of an experienced professional. To install the .NET framework follow these directions:
I cannot install the Plan-it software on my computer because my hard drive has a drive letter assignment other than C:\. How can I install the software on my computer?
The Plan-it software installer was designed to only work with a hard drive with the letter designation of C:\. This was necessary to allow for the Auto Update feature to work and to allow the software to launch the CD interface and for the CD interface to launch the software. If your computer's hard drive has a letter other than C:\ then the Plan-it software will not be able to install on your computer unless you change the drive letter designation. NOTE: Changing the drive letter designation for your primary hard drive could cause system instability. We do not suggest doing this without the help of a trained computer professional.
When I try to print an individual task list from the "Edit Event" window I get an error. What should I do?
This is a known bug in the program. We are working to correct the error and it will be fixed in an automatic update by the end of 2005. In the meantime, you can print the entire task list for the event. This functionality is not affected by the error. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Can I copy the Evangelism Planner contents on my computer?
The contents of the CD (files, PDFs, PPTs, etc.) can be copied onto your hard drive. However, the calendaring function (the Plan-it software) will not work as the software is hard-coded to look for the information on D-drive only. Here is how you can copy the CD over to your C drive:
- Create a new folder on your desktop and name it EP if you like
- Insert EP in D drive
- Don’t run the CD or if it auto starts just wait until it stops
- Go to My Computer
- Right click on the D drive where it says EP 1-27-2005 (D)
- Select Open
- Highlight all the contents of the CD and drag into your new folder. This will take a few minutes.
- After it is finished copying, when you want to view/use the contents, you have to open the new folder and select EvangelismPlanner.exe (it should be the second from the top)
You cannot drag the EvangelismPlanner.exe to your desktop to make a short cut as it will not open any of the categories.
Remember that any of the Plan-it buttons will not work so you cannot use the Plan-it software to calendar anything unless you actually use the EP CD in your D Drive as normal.
