Families on Mission
Lynch, Kentucky
More than 100 participants (including two families from Canada) attended the Lynch, Kentucky, Families on Mission project from June 28-July 3. Peggy Colbert served as project coordinator and Bill Barker was the worship speaker. Participants stayed in Solomon’s Porch, a former hospital turned volunteer housing center by Meridzo Ministries.
During the day, participants engaged in several ministry opportunities, including Vacation Bible School, food and clothing distribution, and construction projects. At night worship services took place at the United Methodist Church.
On Tuesday afternoon, participants hosted a community-wide block party. Games, free popcorn and snow cones, moon bounces, and a cake walk were enjoyed by all, as well as a dinner for both the participants and the community folks who chose to come. It was an awesome opportunity to share the love of Christ with the Lynch community. The gospel was sown more than 100 times.
