'Restoring Hope'
Slidell, La., is a town changed forever. Hurricane Katrinas
permanent mark is seen not only in its homes and buildings, but also in
the hearts of its residents. Tammy Shavers rode out the storm alone,
but through the outreach of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Tammy's
hope has been restored.

Volunteers Respond to Hurricane Katrina
Food… water… electricity… shelter… all every day necessities of life we take for granted.
But when they’re taken away,
then you have the reality of Hurricane Katrina’s victims. Through
partnering with the Red Cross, Southern Baptists are in the heart of
the devastated areas providing help to those in need.
