National Evangelism Initiative

Through intentional evangelism efforts, together we can reach our neighbors in North America and the nations for Jesus Christ. In fact, the nations have become our neighbors. God has a plan for every person to hear the gospel through every believer sharing. Lead your church now to be a part of this initiative and experience the joy of joining other believers in taking the gospel to every person in North America by 2020.

Pray/Go/Multiply - Reach Baltimore and San Diego

God is at work in several Strategic Focus Cities across North America. How can you join in?

Summer Blooms in Baltimore: The warm months were fruitful ones in Metro Baltimore thanks to God's faithfulness in responding to more than 41,000 Embrace Baltimore prayer partners. Two new churches are launching on September 14 with eight more in development.

More than 1,600 local volunteers joined forces with nearly 1,900 national volunteers from around North America to hold outreach events, sports camps, Bible schools, and perform other acts of kindness this summer. The Embrace Baltimore staff reports 611 professions of faith and 69 baptisms!

Want to help? Join us on one of the following weekends for a Catch the Vision Trip to see firsthand both the needs and opportunities in Baltimore: September 22-24; October 20-22; November 17-19.

For further information, please contact Jaimee LaFave at 443.219.2546 or jlafave@embracebaltimore.com, or visit www.embracebaltimore.com.

San Diego's Season: The Vision San Diego team is gearing up for the 2009 Season of Service in the city. What would happen if hundreds of churches engaged in community service projects across an entire county for an extended period of time?

You can find out firsthand, beginning Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. During this Season of Service, thousands of volunteers from hundreds of churches in San Diego and across the country will participate in key county-wide initiatives and individual church outreach projects.

For more information on how you and your church can take part in serving San Diego, call 1.877.817.4777 or go to visionsandiego.com.

Give - World Hunger Day

Now is the time to start planning promotion for World Hunger Day on Sunday, Oct. 12.

Domestic hunger funds provided through this emphasis assist churches, associations, and state conventions in distributing food and the gospel to people in need.

In 2007, more than 2,000 hunger ministries in North America were assisted with domestic hunger funds. Additionally, 3.5 million meals were provided, and more than 32,000 professions of faith were reported through hunger ministries. Requests for funds for 2008 have already exceeded $1.2 million. With your help in promoting World Hunger Day, it is anticipated that donations will allow for all requests to be met.

More information and promotional material for World Hunger Day is available at www.namb.net/hunger.
