Families on Mission
Big Stone Gap, Virginia
June 6-11, 2009

Families on Mission provided families the exciting opportunity to serve in the mountains of Appalachia in Big Stone Gap in southwest Virginia. Ministry projects were coordinated through the North American Mission Board and Randy Aldridge, a Church Enrichment Missionary assigned to Southwestern Virginia.

Participants worked through the leadership of Randy and the local Southern Baptist churches to minister to the people of Southwest Virginia through different outreach activities such as Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Clubs, block and community parties, nursing home ministry, campground ministry, sports camps, and general acts of kindness.

Below are photos from the 2009 Big Stone Gap, VA Families on Miission Project. Click here to view the Big Stone Gap, VA 2009 famcam video.
