Families on Mission
Bryson City/Cherokee, North Carolina
June 20-25, 2009
Families on Mission provided families the exciting opportunity to serve in Bryson City and Cherokee, N.C. Bryson City and Cherokee are two of the most populated towns in Swain County. They have 21 churches located in the county as well as the Cherokee Indian reservation. It is estimated the county has a population of a little more than 13,000 and almost 80 percent do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Each family had the opportunity to reach out to the community through different outreach activities such as Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Clubs, campground ministry, sports camps, yard maintenance, light construction, window washing and general acts of kindness.
