What Can I Do about Abortion?

  1. Pray.
  2. Become educated.
  3. Educate others.
  4. Ask your pastor to preach on the Sanctity of Life or related topics.
  5. Organize others of like concern.
  6. Get involved.
  7. Ask your doctor's opinion on abortion.  Tell him or her of your convictions.
  8. Learn the voting records on abortion of your state and national senators and representatives.
  9. Write your senators/representatives, asking them to initiate or support legislation on life issues.
  10. Write a letter to the editor of your newspaper.  Know your facts and be courteous.
  11. Become involved in or start a pregnancy care center.  The director will train you.
    Needs are:

  13. Get testimonies of people who were adopted; get testimonies of people who have adopted.
  14. Ask business leaders to: talk to key business people about support, equipment, facilities, jobs; provide civic club exposures and support; provide speaker's bureau personnel.
  15. Provide public, school, and church libraries with the best books available on related subjects.
  16. Expose school administrators to sex education material teaching chastity ("True Love Waits").
  17. Ask for equal time to present your viewpoint if Planned Parenthood is in your local school system.
  18. Run for a position on the school board.
  19. Provide every pastor with related books for his library.
  20. Provide a billboard.
  21. Put an ad in the local newspaper.
  22. Give away brochures; ask the North American Board for a resource list.
  23. Keep informed on family issues.
  24. Keep your church informed on family issues.
