The Grove
Latest Update: September 14, 2006
What: The Grove is a pre-packaged, week-long adult mission project that seeks to educate and involve adults from every walk of life in church planting and evangelism. The Grove combines hands-on mission involvement and practical training sessions throughout the week to give participants a thorough knowledge of church planting needs and methods in North America. Each day will have training in the morning, mobilization with local church planters in the afternoon, and a worship gathering in the evening. Mission projects will include such activities as block parties, surveys, prayerwalks, acts of kindness, etc. There will not be construction projects.
Who: The Grove is for church leaders, singles, seniors, business people, mothers and fathers, pastors and staff, mission trip leaders, associational missionaries, missions teams, and anyone who wants to help start new churches. You must be 18 years old to participate.
When: The pilot project for The Grove was scheduled for November 1-7, 2006, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it has been cancelled. Look for 2007 opportunities to be announced on the Web site soon.
Where: TBD
Why: Why come to The Grove? Come because we need new churches and more churches in North America. Come because you are ready for a new level of missions. Come because you are a leader. Come to learn church planting and evangelism and go home to share what you have learned with your church. Come to help and encourage church planters for a week and see results that last for eternity.
