Miami Missions Trip 2023

Giving young adults an opportunity to explore life on mission

NAMB Journeymen serve as short-term missionaries in North America for a two-year term. Journeymen work with and through NAMB’s compassion ministry, Send Relief, where they become a vital part of NAMB missionary teams at one of 20 Send Relief Ministry Centers. The Journeyman program allows young professionals to explore the potential of lifelong service in ministry through hands-on serving and life on the mission field. While all Journeymen are involved in evangelism, discipleship and meeting needs, the specific role they play will vary from location to location depending on the local context. Responsibilities could include volunteer coordination, community development, daily ministry activity, trainings and a variety of other activities. While there may be a large range of daily tasks across each Send Relief Ministry Center, every Journeyman’s role will be aligned with NAMB’s goal of engaging communities with the hope of the gospel through poverty relief, caring for refugees and internationals, engaging in foster care and adoption, fighting human trafficking, disaster relief and evangelism.

Applicants for Journeyman must be active members of a Southern Baptist church, permanent U.S. or Canadian citizens (or possess a 10-year green card), affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university. Applicants can be single or married and must be physically, emotionally and spiritually cleared to serve fulltime with NAMB. Journeymen are fully funded by NAMB and do not need to raise personal financial support.
