NAMB highlights church planting, evangelism at SBC exhibit

After a turbulent year of coronavirus and controversy, the North American Mission Board (NAMB) sought to remind Southern Baptists of the unifying power of the gospel during the 2021 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Nashville.

Through their booth in the exhibit hall, NAMB aimed to serve pastors and ministry leaders by providing a means for them to pray for their Southern Baptist missionaries, learn how a simple backpack can lead to gospel conversations and allowed them to meet some of their missionaries face-to-face to hear about their work.

NAMB’s primary focus was to connect Southern Baptists with their missionaries through prayer and to help churches take their next missional step in reaching North America through evangelism and church planting.

Grant Skeldon recently moved to Nashville from Dallas for work and stopped by the booth to learn more about how to engage NAMB’s ministry to North America.

“I appreciate that NAMB is always, especially in this generation where it’s one of the most lost generations we’ve ever seen,” Skeldon said, “that you guys are one of the most evangelistic organizations, as well as in a generation that’s regularly redefining what truth is, a group that anchors themselves in the world has been helpful and encouraging to me.”
