Replanter: Follow the course

By Eric Mason

This morning, most pastors will walk into underwhelming church gathering facilities into a space with no help from armor bearers or entourage, but a lone bible and an outline or manuscript. Many will wrestle with numbers, hurt over souls, maybe even a hard week, and carrying the burden of a bounty of prayer requests yet to be answered feeling like a failure.

I pray of those who are called to this lonely reality that you would endure the reality of the many times slow and arduous work of the shepherd. I pray you climb the pulpit today with a new sense of calling and that God would bring back the fires of yesterday’s dreams and passions for change and transformed lives and redemption on your mission field! Preach Jesus like you’d preach Him if the building was standing room only. Don’t fall for the gimmicks of church grown! Follow the course of the faithful workman! 2Timothy 2, 1 Corinthians 15:58
