Why a Legacy Church Planting Roundtable

By Replant

Over the next two days a group of men who are engaged in or prayerfully exploring Legacy Church Planting are gathering @NAMB_SBC for encouragement, equipping and prayer as part of a larger movement that focuses on bringing hope and life back to churches who have experienced prolonged periods of decline.

Today we know that the majority of Churches have either plateaued or are in decline. Their strategic importance in the communities in which they reside has not diminished. The mission remains the same–To proclaim the good news of the Gospel of Jesus.

God is raising up men who are called to go into the hard, difficult and often forgotten places to lead congregations to return to their love for Christ and commitment to His mission.

We’ll be sharing some of the insights from the gathering here and via @churchreplanter

Pray for these men and for those whom God is in the process of calling. Pray for the Churches who will call them as Pastors. And pray for the work of the Holy Spirit to stir again the hearts of these congregations to love Jesus more than their preferences, traditions and history.

Are you called to join the movement?
