2026 Ridgecrest CPDT

The SBC Chaplaincy Team invites chaplains and their families to join us at our largest Chaplain Professional Development Training (CPDT) of the year at the Ridgecrest Conference Center in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Nick Hamilton will be discussing "A Chaplain's Role in Crisis Ministry" and demonstrating practical ways to walk through trauma and grief—both others' and your own—with the Lord by your side.
Connect with fellow SBC chaplains from across the country and stay informed as we feature insightful updates from the North American Mission Board. Enjoy a time of learning and refocusing on the Lord and our chaplaincy calling as we "spur each other on to love and good deeds" for His kingdom. We hope to see you there!

Registration Fee
Chaplain Lodging Onsite: $175
Chaplain Lodging Offsite (arrangements on your own): $120
Additional Guests (Spouses/Family members): $25 each
- Registration fee reserves a spot at the conference and includes 1 hotel room per chaplain for 2 nights (Monday and Tuesday nights), all 5 meals during conference hours, and allows access to resources provided during training.
Note: If you attended the April CPDT and desire to attend this one as well, email us to be put on a waitlist, as we want to offer spots first to those who have not attended CPDT yet this year.

Cancellation Policy
Before Sept 14: Full refund
Sept 1 – October 2: Partial 50% refund
After October 2: No refund
Transportation
Ridgecrest is located 15 miles east of Asheville, North Carolina, on Interstate 40 at Exit 66. It is approximately 30 miles from the Asheville Regional Airport. Ridgecrest does not provide shuttle services or an airport shuttle.

- Charlotte International Airport — 110 miles (2 hours)
- Greenville-Spartanburg Airport — 90 miles (1.5 hours)
Childcare
Childcare and VBS will be provided. Please contact Heather Brooks at [email protected] if your child has any severe allergies or there are other details our team may need to serve you well. Due to the sensitive nature of conversations and discussion topics, children will not be permitted to attend the training sessions.
