This Week's Featured Prayer Requests

Amanda Burgos
700 West St.
White Hall, AR 71602
Amanda Burgos is a community chaplain serving in Arkansas. I have been teaching English to Chinese students for several years. The students I have been teaching also come to an English/Chinese Bible study. I will be starting a new class of Chinese students on January 23. Please pray that they will be receptive to learning the Bible as well as English.

Hernando Cardenas
1227 S. Cholla Ct.
Chandler, AZ 85286
Hernando Cardenas is a church planter serving through Primera Igesia Bautista Chandler in Chandler, Ariz. I am having one more back surgery February 1, 2018. This time the doctors will remove a cyst between the spinal cord and a vertebrate in the lumbar area. This cyst is creating pressure on my spine and clogging the nerve area creating too much pain all the time. They will sent some of the cyst to check for cancer. I hope my cancer (which is recessive now) did not spread to the spine. Please pray for God to take control of the surgery and to work through my Christian doctor so everything goes well. I am confident that all will be just fine.

Jan Kragness
14802 Poor Farm Rd.
Johnston City, IL 62951
Jan Kragness is a disaster relief and community service chaplain serving in Illinois. My husband, Don, is having surgery February 1, 2018, at Barnes in St. Louis. This surgery is related to the prostate cancer surgery he had three years ago. He has to have a bladder sling put in. Don has myasthenia gravis, which always complicates surgery because of muscular and breathing involvement.

Ram Bhandari
47-07 39th St. Apt. 8C
Sunnyside, NY 11104
Ram Bhandari is lead church planter of Global Mission Church New York in New York. Please pray for my complete recovery from multiple facial fractures. You may know that I was physically assaulted April 15, 2017, and I am still facing issues with my sinuses, jaw and eyesight. I was hit in the face by a 2 x 4-inch piece of wood with nails in it. Actually, it was cross I was carrying to clear nails and pieces of paper that were used on Good Friday night. Please pray also that my permanent residency application process goes through well. Pray that God will enable us to start a monthly meeting in Woodside, N.Y., in February 2018. Pray that God would speak to the hearts of many Nepali-speaking Hindus and Buddhists so they will come to our monthly meeting and come to know our Lord personally. Pray that God would open the door for my son, Ato, to join me and my wife soon to serve the Lord together. Ato will be 19 years old February 28, and he is in India. Due to immigration formalities, he is still stuck in Nagaland, India. I haven't seen him in person in more than three years. Pray for Global Mission Church New York folks as we are asking God through 40 days of prayer and fasting for numerical and spiritual growth of our plant and transformation in the surrounding communities and neighborhoods. Pray for Abigail, who is 3 years and 11 months old. She is the daughter of one of our deacons and is fighting life threatening cancer—neuroblastoma stage 4.

Brian Caldwell
