Over 2,600 Southern Baptists united from around the country with one goal in mind: to spread the hope of the gospel to the spiritually lost of Orlando. They served alongside local churches to proclaim Christ through sports camps, medical and dental clinics, community block parties, and more—all to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to share the life-transforming message of the gospel.
What is Crossover?
Crossover is an annual evangelistic emphasis that takes place in the city where the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting is held. Many churches in the host city plan an evangelistic outreach the week before the meeting, and many will plan evangelistic events the Saturday before the annual meeting starts and will recognize a Harvest Day the next day.

Pray for Crossover efforts, from securing host churches and volunteers to serve to seeing a harvest of souls as the gospel is shared.
Host
Crossover events are coordinated by host churches in the following Florida Baptist associations: Greater Orlando Baptist Association, Ridge Baptist Association, Lake County Baptist Association, Brevard Baptist Association, and East Central Baptist Network. Host church registration is now closed.
Serve
Crossover provides many service opportunities to choose from, such as block parties and other evangelistic events. The serve event portal is open for you to choose your service experience!

Crossover is an annual evangelistic effort hosted by the North American Mission Board (NAMB) in conjunction with state, associational and local church partners. Read about the legacy of Crossover. Read the Crossover Vision Statement. Watch Crossover: A History of Impact.
Crossover is held annually in the host city of the SBC (Southern Baptist Convention) Annual Meeting. In 2026, the host city is Orlando, Florida.
Crossover occurs the week leading up to the SBC Annual Meeting. For 2026, the dates are June 1-7.
Crossover typically occurs over two days, the Saturday and Sunday of the week prior to the SBC Annual Meeting. However, some churches plan weeklong events that can start as early as the Monday prior to the meeting.
Churches in the SBC Annual Meeting host city will have an outreach on Saturday and/or a Harvest Day on Sunday. Some churches will actually have a weeklong outreach event (Mon–Fri). Host churches, especially new church plants, rely on outside volunteers to execute their events. Both individuals and groups interested in serving at Crossover can sign up to help host churches carry out their event(s).
HOST A CROSSOVER EVENT FAQ
Registration for churches to host an outreach event and/or Harvest Day will remain open until April 5, 2026.
The most common types of outreach events that we see from churches include block parties, sports clinics, sports tournaments, family fun festivals, VBS, kids club, backyard Bible clubs, etc. For a more detailed list of options, check out 30 Evangelistic Ideas for Your Community.

A Harvest Day consists of a quality and effective Sunday morning service to reach the lost. The goal is for lost people to come forward for professions of faith and to follow up with baptism. For help planning a Harvest Day, check out 16 Steps to Planning a Harvest Day.
We provide training and resources to help churches plan and execute effective events. When you sign up to host an event, you will be notified of training opportunities. We cannot guarantee volunteers, but we work hard to help churches secure volunteers. A representative from the church requesting volunteers must attend our training session.
Churches needing additional funding to cover the cost of their event(s) can apply for a grant. Grant requests must meet specific criteria and be submitted before the deadline or until all funds are dispersed, whichever comes first. A representative from the church requesting the grant must also attend our training session. Contact [email protected] for more information on grants.
Your church event must coincide with Crossover. We report the results during the SBC Annual Meeting, typically a day or so following Crossover. If your event occurs within a week before the start of the SBC Annual Meeting, we can include the results as part of the report presented at the SBC Annual Meeting.
SERVE A CROSSOVER EVENT FAQ
There is no cost to volunteer.
When you register to serve, you will receive information on when you will be able to choose a specific host church event. That sign-up opportunity will remain open until we reach maximum capacity, filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In general, there is no age requirement to serve during Crossover. Adults (at least 21 years old) must accompany minors. Some host churches may have an age requirement due to the nature of their event. The event description for each host church will include this information.
You will be responsible for your transportation.
We are unable to provide lodging. However, some host churches do house volunteers. You can check with the host church where you will serve to plan accordingly.
You will need to plan for your meals. Some host churches do feed their volunteers lunch in addition to their guests. Check with your host church to plan accordingly.
Block parties, sports clinics, sports tournaments, family fun festivals, VBS, kids club, backyard Bible clubs, etc.
Check out the Crossover Packing List for a more detailed list of items to bring. Some include:
- Closed-toe shoes (e.g., sneakers)
- Lightweight shirts (e.g., T-shirts)
- Comfortable pants/shorts
- Bedding and toiletries (if applicable)
To assist more churches, NAMB has repurposed the funds allocated for Crossover T-shirts toward grants for eligible host churches. However, Crossover T-shirts will be available for purchase. Quantities are limited, and orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Crossover T-shirt ordering link will be available in early Spring for all registrants (you will be notified when ordering opens). However, to help us provide an actual price based on anticipated order volume, registrants must estimate desired T-shirts quantities by late winter.
