Over 2,600 Southern Baptists united from around the country with one goal in mind: to spread the hope of the gospel to the spiritually lost of Orlando. They served alongside local churches to proclaim Christ through sports camps, medical and dental clinics, community block parties, and more—all to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to share the life-transforming message of the gospel.

What is Crossover?

Crossover is an annual evangelistic emphasis that takes place in the city where the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting is held. Many churches in the host city plan an evangelistic outreach the week before the meeting, and many will plan evangelistic events the Saturday before the annual meeting starts and will recognize a Harvest Day the next day.

Crossover Testimonies

“A mother had just lost her first daughter in February. She was suffering with pain and regret. Through Crossover, she accepted the Lord and has begun to coming to church.”

Iglesia Agua Viva

“We were going door-to-door and engaged a delivery truck driver. We showed him the gospel track and began talking him through it. He said he had seen this material before on another door and had begun reading it, but he didn’t understand what to do next. Our team explained the gospel to him, and he accepted Christ! We are so grateful for this divine appointment and that our people had passed out material on a previous day that this man was able to find that prepared his heart!”

First Baptist Church, Forney

“Participating in Crossover has revived my witnessing spirit. I had three gospel conversations, and God converted one in our parking lot during the Wash and Pray. God prompted this fellow to visit the neighborhood he once lived in, and in the process, he saw us doing a free car wash and drove in. We washed his car, shared the gospel with him, and prayed for him. He left the church premises a new person with the gift of a Bible for his new life. Praise be to God for this great privilege and opportunity provided by NAMB!”

First African Baptist Church, Fort Worth

“One of our new members participated in Crossover. He is a former gang leader and has a remarkable story. He was extremely active in bringing people from the apartment complex, and the homeless off the street to our outreach event to share the gospel. He prayed with several people, did a recap video, and was able to minister hope to several who did not have any hope. This was his first time doing anything of this nature. He completely submitted to God and was used by Him greatly in this effort.”

Pivot Church

“A gentleman who attended described the event as a lifeline for him as he was struggling with a major life adjustment, recovering from divorce and experiencing deep depression. The event forced him to get out of the house and be around brothers who encouraged him.”

Epic Fellowship Church

“One of our students had been praying for a friend for four years, that she would have her heart softened and respond to the gospel. On Friday night at the Crossover Student Rally, she brought her friend with her, she heard the gospel and responded by placing her faith in Jesus Christ! The Lord hears His people as they cry out to Him to move in the hearts and lives of those who are lost.”
