The blocks of training will include, but are not limited to: 1) Trends we have seen in all types of chaplaincy ministry, 2) Techniques for self care, 3) Spirituality and Theology of Ministry, 4) An in-depth look at the seasons of life we all face and how it affects our self care, 5) Preventive Care in our lives and mentoring preventive care for other chaplains.
Reading the following resources ahead of the training could prove beneficial: Soul Repair: Recovering from Moral Injury after War by Rita Nakashima Brock, The Healing Path: How the Hurts in Your Past Can Lead You to a More Abundant Life by Dan B. Allender, Leading with a Limp: Take Full Advantage of Your Most Powerful Weakness by Dan B. Allender and Resilient Warriors by Robert F. Dees.
