Application 35min

Once registered, complete an online questionnaire.

Pre-Assessment 3-5 Weeks

After your application is received, you will receive a link to several in-depth, online assessment surveys measuring your readiness in three categories: church planting capacity, personal character and marriage (if applicable). Once reviewed, you will receive either an invitation to attend an assessment retreat or to participate in the Church Planter Pipeline, which is a 1-to-3-year development process built around specific church planting competencies.

Assessment Retreat 2 Days

Explore your strengths and growth opportunities in six key areas: Spiritual and Emotional Health, Leadership, Disciple-Making, Family Dynamics, Communication and Marriage. At the end of the retreat, assessors, along with a representative from your sending church, will develop a growth plan for you.

Orientation 3 days

Connect with other new planters at our training center in Alpharetta, Georgia. This is an encouraging and culture-building time of networking, inspiration and fun where you will learn more about the Send Network kingdom values of brotherhood, multiplication and restoration.

Send Network Training 6 months

Learn alongside other new planters in your area of focus in interactive sessions facilitated by an experienced trainer. This training gives you the tools you will need to develop and implement strategies specific to your context and gifts.

Coaching 2 years

With extensive ministry experience and wisdom, a coach serves as a personal sounding board in your first years as a church planter.

Planter & Family Care 5 years

Church planting is not a solo mission. It takes compassion and support to help a planter and his wife establish a successful church while nurturing family relationships. We come alongside you with resources, events and gifts to encourage you and your family.

No matter your church planting context,
we’re here to guide you through the process.
