Puerto Rico Hurricane Response
Still struggling to recover from 2017’s Hurricane Maria, the residents of Puerto Rico are watching Hurricane Dorian with fear and anxiety. Many families in Dorian’s projected path are still living under tarps instead of roofs, and even a glancing blow by this latest storm could cause significant problems.
Ready to Help
Through Send Relief compassion ministry, Southern Baptists have continuously sent volunteer teams and resources to Puerto Rico to aid in the recovery efforts since Hurricane Maria’s brutal landfall. With your support, Send Relief has helped distribute more than 760,000 meals, provided over 1,100 water filtration kits and, as a partner with FEMA’s VALOR program, has assisted in the cleanup and repair of nearly 700 properties.
Send Relief is tracking the progress of Hurricane Dorian and is ready to respond again.
When you give to Send Relief’s crisis response efforts, you are providing supplies, equipment and volunteers where they are needed most in the wake of this powerful storm.
