The kind of partnership Paul writes about in the first verses of Philippians is greatly needed among churches today. Programs, events, and renewed passion and energy often can’t help struggling churches like other churches can. We are seeing a new movement take hold, one in which churches reach out to one another; where a strong and healthy church befriends a weaker and struggling church. Together, these congregations are now accomplishing more than they could on their own. Know this—partnership isn’t easy. Years of a church going it alone make accepting and adapting to a new partnership a sanctifying work. Our prayer is that through this resource, God will raise up pastors and denominational leaders to say yes to working together for God’s glory and the good of their communities.
