I am taking a team of 10 students to Thailand this summer for a short-term mission trip. Please pray we will be able to encourage and assist the missionaries in Thailand. Pray we will be bold in sharing the gospel among the Thai people. Pray the hearts of our students will grow for missions and evangelism.
We have a vision of baptizing 100 people before the year 2025. Please pray we realize baptizing that number and also having a church building of our own. Pray the Lord will give us strength for our mission and the vision for our church.
Please pray for my wife, Tina, as she battles breast cancer.
We are prayerfully asking God’s guidance, favor and direction as we begin a mission in our own backyard called Acts of Kindness. Our mission statement is to empower the Body of Christ in Healdton to come together to reach out to the needy with Acts of Kindness in order to further the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in our community. We believe meeting people’s physical needs will open a door to meeting their spiritual needs. Please pray for us as we launch this backyard mission and pray that it gets rooted and grounded so it can be reciprocated again and again in other needy communities! God’s kingdom come, God’s will be done!
Pray our new contacts (unbelievers) will be open to the gospel and attend our new home Bible studies. Continue to pray for the Saturday Bible study/discipleship at J and E’s home. Please pray people will hunger to know Christ. Pray J’s work schedule will be free on weekends, especially on Sundays. Pray many will be connected to a cell group during our Asia and American Pacific event on May 4. Pray that Praise Christian Church Union believers will be missional this year and take every opportunity to establish a good rapport with unbelievers, leading them to Christ. Pray that the Union life group of 14 people will commit to becoming disciples. Pray I will abide in the love of Christ as I shepherd the flock. Pray I can balance my time with ministry works and my personal time with the Lord. Pray for protection against the schemes of the devil from discouragement and any form of temptation. Pray that God would provide a keyboard player, a bass guitarist, a drummer, a worship leader, and guidance in organizing our own praise and worship team.
I would appreciate prayers for my wife, Paige. She has been battling Lyme disease for a while, and it can be very debilitating at times. We’re in an exceptionally busy time with pastoring a growing church and parenting elementary and middle-school-aged children, and I’m sure some of the stresses from that exacerbate Paige’s condition. I would love prayers for wisdom and discernment on how to navigate this time in our lives.
We are launching on May 5th at Calvert County Community Center. This will be our first service, and we are asking for the prayers of all planters, pastors, churches and believers. We know God is about to do a mighty work, and we are asking for your prayers for our strength, wisdom and obedience, to His will and to His Word. Thank you in advance! Be encouraged.
Please pray the lost in our community will come to faith in Christ. Pray for the spiritual growth of our new members. Pray leaders in our church will be raised up in our church. Pray the Lord will give me wisdom as He uses me to develop them. Pray for our new small group that will begin meeting on April 21.
Please pray for Tom as he battles cancer and is being attacked spiritually. Our new pastor, Adam Porter, has back issues. Please pray for healing. Pray for the growth for our church, Bethel Baptist.
Please pray our church leaders will grow in the Lord.
On April 20, we are inviting our whole community to a sit-down meal (The Table). This is an opportunity for our church to develop relationships and share the gospel. Pray God would use this time to further His kingdom.
I am in the final round of completing a book about my daughter’s 30-plus years of addiction. My wife and I are working on the book together, and the journey has been enlightening, tough, loving and challenging. I firmly believe God has blessed the process, and the book will bring healing to other families and individuals who are going though this process. Please pray for God’s favor in the publishing of this book and the healing it has done for us and now others.
Pray for our mission trip to West Africa (Republic of Togo). Our purpose is the equipping of leaders in evangelism and discipleship and for planting a church. Also, they need clean water. People are dying from consuming unhealthy water. We will drill a well for this community as a platform to share with other communities the good news of Christ.
This spring we are preparing as a church and as a family for the challenge of prayer, evangelization and discipleship. Pray as we take advantage of the good summer and fall weather. Pray for our health. Thank you!
